Croatia (CroMSIC)

I completed a research internship at the Gut Microbiome Center in Zagreb, where I worked on creating graphs and tables, writing parts of a publication, and learning about a completely new research topic. Beyond the lab, I explored Croatia with colleagues from all over the world, visiting Plitvice Lakes, coastal towns, and hiking Sljeme Mountain. This internship allowed me to gain valuable research experience, meet new people, and immerse myself in Croatian culture.

Morocco (IFMSA Morocco)

I completed a SCOPE internship in Casablanca, Morocco, in the thoracic surgery department, where I assisted in operations, ward procedures, and attended lectures for residents. In my free time, I traveled extensively—camping in the Sahara, hiking to Akchour waterfalls, visiting Chefchaouen, surfing and riding quad bikes in Essaouira, and exploring cities like Rabat, Marrakech, Fes, and Tangier. This internship allowed me to gain valuable clinical experience, immerse myself in Moroccan culture, taste local cuisine, and collect unforgettable memories.

Romania (FASMR)

This July, I completed a SCOPE internship in Constanta, Romania, where I shadowed surgeries and daily work on the surgery ward. Beyond the hospital, I took part in workshops on surgical suturing, plastic surgery, and endoscopy, and joined weekend trips to Brașov, its castles, and the mountains around Sibiu. Most of all, I enjoyed relaxing on the beach just steps from our dorm. This internship gave me clinical experience, unforgettable adventures, new friends, and a deep dive into Romanian culture.

This summer, I completed a one-month internship in Geneva, working in the adult emergency department where I managed my own patients, handled documentation, and participated in diagnostics and treatment. The fast-paced environment taught me invaluable clinical skills, while visits to Médecins Sans Frontières and exploring the city and nearby mountains gave me cultural and personal insights. This internship was both a professional and life-changing experience.
